7:30 am BLUEGRASS BALLOON RACE - The Friday balloon race is open to the public for the first time this year. Join us for a mass launching of more than 90 balloons in the morning light.
5:00 pm BLUEGRASS BALLOON FESTIVAL OFFICIAL OPENING
- Kids Fun Zone: A variety of fun filled attractions for your children to enjoy FREE.
- Kids Fun Zone Plus: You'll find unique attractions with a slight charge for identified rides.
- Kentucky Sampler Food Court: Feast on a tasty bite from one of the many food vendors.
- Beer Garden: Stop by the beer garden and enjoy a cool adult refreshment!
- Ferrell Gas Balloon Education Center: Learn how a hot air balloon works and experience the thrill up close.
6:00 pm BLUEGRASS BALLOON GLOW - The balloon teams will enter the field, prepare for inflation and dance against the night sky. Come early to grab a great spot on the field.
9:00 pm NIGHT LIGHTS FIREWORKS - Stay after the glow and enjoy a great display of Zambelli fireworks.
