JOIN THE BALLOON CREW

Balloons from all over the continent will come to Louisville and some local pilots will need crew. This is the largest event of its kind in Kentucky. The balloons will be here to race, compete and be a part of a spectacular event. Get into the action! This year we will need over 200 Crew Members. Each balloon can require up to 3 people. Balloon crew duties include:

• Help set up, inflate and launch the balloon. Don't worry the pilot is there to instruct along the way.
• Assist in chasing the balloon in a chase vehicle. Be able to read a map, if necessary. It helps to know the local area.
• Help deflate and pack the balloon up. This can require some lifting.
• Sometimes a crowd will gather so you might be an ambassador to ballooning to tell the onlookers the adventures of ballooning and your adventure as a crew member.
• Demonstrate Louisville hospitality to our out of town pilots and guests.

Crew People for out of town Balloonist: (75 volunteers per day required)

• Friday: 6:30 am until 10:30 am
• Friday: 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm
• Saturday morning: 6:30 am until 10:30 am
• Saturday afternoon: 4:45 pm until 8:30 pm
• Sunday morning: 6:30 am until 10:30 am
